Shopping

If you appreciate fashion, you will love Cowbridge.  With over 18 clothes shops packed into the small high-street, you will find something for all ages and sexes.

Many of the businesses are independent, so you’re sure to find something unique, and with a number of tailors dotted along the road, you could even get something made to measure during your stay.

Jewellers, art galleries, wine merchants and a pottery shop are also nearby so if clothes aren’t your thing, have a wander!

Food & Drink

Alongside butchers, bakers, delicatessens and cake makers are many other local produce stores, so be sure to pick up an authentic taste of Wales during your visit.

If you get hungry or thirsty yourself, there are multiple options to choose from.

For such a small market town, Cowbridge is home to over 21 pubs and the Bear Hotel, and The Duke of Wellington are two of the more popular and more historic pubs on the high street.

Restaurants such as Bar 44, Oscars and The Market Place offer different dining options to suit all tastes and budgets, but as with the pubs, you are spoilt for choice, so why not wander around first until something takes your fancy?

Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show

If you’re visiting in August, why not pop down to the Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show? Held in Fonmon Castle Park a short drive away from Cowbridge, the show is a great day out for all the family and features over 200 trade stands and multiple competitions. A fun-filled day out for the whole family, with animal competitions, food and clothes stores and more.
