Description

The School House overlooks Three Cliffs Bay. A quiet location, away from the road and backing onto the National Trust land of Cefn Bryn. The setting is ideal for walkers with 'The Gower Way' only from a short stroll from the property, which offers walkers stunning panoramic views of Gower and beyond. There are other footpaths directly outside the property.

Both Mulberry Hill Cottage and The School House are located in a landscaped Victorian garden which guests are welcome to use; the same goes for the Victorian gazebo which has stunning views down into Three Cliffs Bay.

The School House
The School House is an annexe to the main house of Mulberry Hill. As the name suggests the school house was where the children of the main house once had lessons.

The bedroom on the first floor is the old Victorian school room and from the 2 arm chairs you can enjoy views of Three Cliffs Bay and Cefn Bryn.

**NOTE** Because of the narrow stairs leading up to the bedroom and down to the shower room, further steps in the garden and an unprotected garden pond, the property is not suitable for children/infants or anyone with limited mobility.

Reviews

Lovely unique and quirky cottage and the owners were very welcoming. Surrounding garden and location is amazing. Quite a lot of stairs in the property so only suitable for fit and able guests. Bedroom was lovely and bathroom very clean. Nice freshly baked Bara-brith cake for us on arrival. WI-FI could do with upgrading.

Mr T,

We had a wonderful stay at the School House. The view from the bedroom was stunning. Sitting there with a coffee in the morning, rain or shine, was so relaxing. Peter and Sian were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation has everything you need, a well equipped kitchen, although the downstairs is a little on the narrowside particularly where the TV is. The beaches of 3 Cliffs and Oxwich were walkable from the property but parts of the walk back up for both was steep. However, well worth it as the beaches, particularly when the tide was out, were breathtaking. Rhossili/ Worms Head just a 20 minute drive away and well worth a visit. The property is in a quiet location so very peaceful. Just be careful on the single track road approaching the property as we had to turn round a hit a concealed rock.

Mr R,

Lovely quirky cottage situated in well looked after garden. Location was very good for beach trips and coast walks. Fantastic view when relaxing in the armchair in the bedroom looking over the garden with 3 Cliffs in the distance. Lovely big bath to soak-in with plenty of hot water. Found Internet slow but when connected was ok! Smart TV in Living Room and bedroom. Very peaceful location.

Mr G,

We really enjoyed our stay at the School House . It was comfortable, well equipped with glorious view from the bedroom of the three cliffs . The local walks were beautiful especially to the beach. Peter amd Sian were lovely hosts and on-site should we have needed anything. If you want peace and tranquillity on the Gower peninsula then this is for you .

Mrs P,

Beautiful cottage (steps to bedroom and then down to bathroom). Gorgeous garden with pond and lovely view from cosy chairs in the bedroom. Very tranquil spot.

Mrs C,

Compact cottage in delightful location.

Mr C,

Absolutely gorgeous quirky little cottage. Beautiful view from the bedroom and surrounded by such a pretty garden. Lovely spot to be on Gower, our favourite.

Mrs M,

Beautiful location, the best view of 3 cliffs bay from bedroom window, two comfy chairs to sit and drink coffee or wine, and admire the view. Also to watch the comings and goings of the garden. Quirky layout we enjoyed our stay. Marvelous base to explore from. Would definitely visit again.

Mrs B,

The School House is a magic place! Thanks a lot to Peter & Sian, that they share this paradise with other people.

Mrs M,

Great location for visiting all the bays and view points on the Gower and coastal walks. The cottage is quirky and cosy and we loved it. Amazing views from the bedroom window.

Mr L,

Really good holiday, weather was bad with the storms but we were snug and warm in the cottage. Plenty of heating and hot water. The star of the show is the old school room bedroom. Fabulous view of the bay while sitting reading in one of the comfortable bedroom chairs. Relaxed inside and found plenty of coastal walks outside. Everyone friendly and nothing too much trouble. Wonderful holiday, came back refreshed and happy

Mrs J,

We had amazing stay at the Old School Cottage. It was very cosy and within walking distance from the beautiful coastline. We enjoyed long walks with our dog and admired the beautiful Welsh landscape. We would definitely recommend it and come back in the future.

Ms M,

Glorious view from the bay window in the bedroom with comfy arm chairs so you can watch the sun rise over the three cliffs. The best accommodation in the area. Decorated to a high standard with all you need.

Mrs A,

Great views, nice to have quality kitchen utensils, lovely hosts.

Mr H,

A beautiful property with fantastic outside space to enjoy, plus excellent walks immediately from the doorstep! warm, friendly & very helpful hosts too! All in all a perfect place to stay with a stunning bedroom , small lounge / kitchen but very cosy & well equipped! We would highly recommend this quaint cottage

Previous Customer,

The cottage and hosts were lovely but the living space was a bit restricted. Thankfully the weather made that irrelevant.

Mr Jason A,

Location

Penmaen is a small village located at the foot of the slopes of Cefn Bryn and west of Parkmill. On the limestone headland overlooking Three Cliffs Bay are several archaeological sites, including the earthworks of a Norman Castle, an old church and a megalithic burial chamber
