Reviews

Mumbles is really nice

Ms S,

We really enjoyed staying at your property. It is a very nice homely house well equipped with scenic views from indoors and outdoors in the garden up the steep steps. It benefits from spacious rooms, comfortable beds and parking. Furthermore, it is positioned on a quiet road close to the shops and beaches.

Mr H,

We enjoyed the rooms, sofas wee a wee bit softer than we are used to but certainly comfortable. The information available in the house was very useful. The bathroom was lovely and the bedrooms suitable for purpose fir each of us. We loved the garden and it's many levels even if it does need a bit of a tidy up. The utility room was a great asset too. Generally we were very happy with the house as we tend to only use as a base and only really spent evenings there.

Miss W,

There was not a great easy access to speaking to an operator. I started speaking to a bot online before I went and they just replied three times with generic answers, so I gave up.

Miss W,

We loved this house and its location. Overland Road suggested it may go over land, and this turned out to be the case. Turn right and you can wind your way down to the top end of the promenade on the way to the pier (currently closed), turn left and within a few minutes I was at Rotherslade Bay, over the road and down the hill takes you past the chippy to one of the shopping streets. The garden, although very steep was also sheltered so we could sit outside even if it was windy elsewhere. The kitchen equipment is good, the beds are comfortable and we were grateful for access to the heating controls when we came home cold and wet one afternoon. We didn’t watch much TV as the lounge TV was pretty basic, but after full days out and leisurely evening meals this wasn’t a big deal.

Mrs A,

The house was well equipped, beds very comfy and great shower. There is also a dishwasher which wasn't in the listing description. The location is about 10 mins easy walk uphill from sea front and main area of restaurants. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet. It was very useful to have a parking space as street parking in area extremely limited. The road and driveway is very narrow, however, luckily there was no car on neighbour's drive when we were there so it was easy to park. It would be quite difficult to park a large car if there was a car on neighbouring drive. Views from the upper terraces of the back garden were stunning but unfortunately the garden has not been well maintained so it is not really useable. A fence panel is missing so entire garden not 100% secure for dogs, although the patio area immediately to the rear of the house is gated. The garden area was a shame but overall the house was clean and comfy and good value for money.

ms W,

Good value stay in Mumbles. The property has a lovely sea view from main bedroom & living room. The parking space is a bit tight for SUVs. A good base for exploring the Gower.

Mrs D,

What a lovely location and somewhere to park too!

Miss G,

The property is clean, comfortable, quiet and well situated in a central location.

Ms H,

Location

Mumbles is the first pretty fishing village one meets when venturing away from Swansea towards the world acclaimed area of outstanding beauty known as the Gower. It is a great place to set up your base either to explore the myriad activities in, around and along the coastline or to settle and just luxuriate in the local resources that make Mumbles a great destination in its own right.
