  • Preferred changeover day: Saturday
  • Please be aware that the front and rear gardens both have drops from the lawn area so small children should be accompanied at all times. The sloped rear garden (lawned area) is set above a natural spring so at certain times of the year or during a period of prolonged rainfall it can become waterlogged, making it not suitable for use. There is a further lawned area to the front of the cottage and a separate paved area to the rear which is for visitor use.
  • Check in: 7:00pm
  • Check out: 9:00am

To give our cleaners enough time to complete the additional cleaning and sanitising that is currently needed to keep our guests safe, check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.

Description

Brooklands Cottage is a traditional Gower longhouse, set in an idyllic, quiet location, yet just a 5 minute walk from the village of Llanmadoc. The village boasts an 18th century gastro-pub 'The Britannia Inn' which was recently voted 'Best Pub in West Glamorgan'. The area has many beautiful coastal and rural walks from the cottage, with the North Gower beaches of Whiteford (and its' lighthouse) and Broughton reached via a pretty walk through Cwm Ivy woods.

The village also has a bustling community shop which doubles as a cafe and Weobley Castle is approximately a 5-10 minutes drive away.

Location

While places such as Mumbles, Langland, Oxwich and Port Eynon to the south of Gower are popular destinations, the hidden beauty of Gower can be found in the north of the peninsula.
