What are the changeover days when I am using the availability search?

During Peak season, changeover day is either a Friday or Saturday so only select those start dates when searching for a property. Out of Peak season midweek changeover days can be selected. If you are unable to find a suitable property or you have specific requirements, please feel free to give us a call.

Do you offer discounts for senior citizens?

Yes, 5% off full week stays outside peak periods (after Nov 10th 2017 and before May 11th 2018). This offer excludes Christmas, Easter and school holidays. At least half of the party must be senior citizens to qualify for this discount. Call us for more information.

Do you offer early booking discounts?

Yes, 2.5% off when you book before Saturday 18th November 2017. Discount applies to holidays taken between 12th May 2018 and Sept 01st 2018. Only one discount per booking.

What is a short break?

A short break is a period of between 3 and 7 nights. These are not available during bank holidays or school holiday periods unless there is last minute availability. We also offer '2 Night City Breaks' on many properties - call us for more details.

What is network coverage like for mobile phones?

It can be quite poor. Vodafone currently provides the widest coverage although this is not complete. We have a number of Vodafone ‘pay as you’ go SIM cards available for hire. We have also asked each property owner which mobile network works best at their cottage. If this is important to you please call us and we will try our best to advise you of the strongest network at your chosen property.

Is it possible to hire Travel cots and High chairs?

We have a limited number of travel cots and high chairs that can be hired on a first come first served basis. These can be hired at a charge of £15 per item per week. They must be collected from our office on arrival and returned to the office on departure. NB - Linen is not provided for travel cots. Please contact the office for further details.

Can I bring my pet?

Many of our properties welcome pets for just £20 per week or short break (£25.00 in 2018). Search online for pet friendly properties appropriately named ‘woof pads’. Any visitor bringing a pet to a cottage that is not pet friendly will be requested to vacate the property immediately.

Do all properties have Saturday as the changeover day?

Most properties have Saturday as changeover day although some are on Friday. Some are flexible and will accommodate any day. Out of peak and high season most properties have flexible start dates. Call us to check.

Do I have to bring my own bedding and towels?

The majority of holiday cottages have bed linen and towels provided however some do not. Please check the individual property description for full details of what is provided. For properties that are advertised as three star or below and do not include the provision of linen or towels as standard, linen can be supplied at a supplementary price from our offices (must be pre-booked).

When and where can I book a holiday?

It is possible to book a holiday at almost any time, including 24 hours a day on our selection of websites or by phone during office hours (Monday to Saturday).

How do I pay?

Over the phone by giving us your credit or debit card details (we charge 2% for credit card payments, there is no supplementary charge for debit card payments) or by cheque (made payable to Home From Home). After you have made the initial deposit it is possible for you to logon to our website to make the balance payment.

When will I receive the address and any directions to the property I have booked?

You will receive the full address and travel details when the balance payment has been received.

Do the cottages provide welcome packs?

Not all of the cottages provide welcome packs as it can depend on what arrangements the owner has made with their caretaker/cleaner. If this is important to you please feel free to contact us for more info.

Are general supplies provided?

Essentially you have booked a self catering holiday so be prepared to bring all items that you think you may need including toiletries, cleaning materials, food and drink. Some owners provide basic supplies although it is not guaranteed at every property.

What are your office opening hours?

Monday - Friday 9.30am - 5.00pm (5.30pm in January, February & March)

Saturday - 9.30am - 1.00pm then 2.30pm - 5.00pm

Sunday - Closed
