Langland Golf Course

If golf is your sport, then Gower is the perfect location to combine a relaxing break with the game you love! With clubs such as Pennard, Clyne, Fairwood and Langland on your doorstep as well as Celtic Manor, Royal Porthcawl and St Pierre all within 1-hour drive, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

If some of your party are non-golfers, there is plenty to do to occupy the time even if the weather is against you.  From a day at Llangennith, recently voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world, to a day of shopping and a few glasses of bubbly in Mumbles; there something for everyone to enjoy.

Below are three local courses with easy to access from any of our properties in Gower:

Langland Bay Golf Club – http://www.langlandbaygolfclub.com

Situated on a cliff-top overlooking the bays of Caswell and Langland, this club boasts some of the finest scenery in Gower.  A challenging course, Langland is ideal for the more seasoned golfer and has a fantastic club house and facilities.

Within walking distance of the clubhouse is Langland Bay, home to a brasserie of the same name that is one of the best restaurants in Swansea.  The bay also has some small cafes, surf school and tennis courts so there is enough to do while the golf is taking place!

Teeing off at Pennard Golf Club

Pennard Golf Club – http://www.pennardgolfclub.com

This links course is another with breathtaking views across the coast, and the 16th, in particular, has the iconic Three Cliffs as a backdrop to tee-off from. As with most links courses, the terrain will require your full attention throughout but with a 12th-century castle and sweeping vistas; it’s certainly an enjoyable course.  The club house too offers a great range of food and drinks to players and non-players alike and is a perfect place to relax for the afternoon.
Nearby are the beaches of Pobbles and Three Cliffs, not forgetting the castle mentioned above, so plenty to do and explore.

Clyne – http://www.clynegolfclub.com

Situated on Clyne Common, the course has some forgiving fairways but is challenging enough so perfect for mixed-ability groups.  Located in-between the city centre and the village of Mumbles, the club is easily located just off the main B4436 road to Gower.
