Reviews

The view from this location is awe inspiring. We occupied it during Christmas week 2023 and the owners took the trouble to put up a tree and a few decorations as well.

Mr A,

An excellent location and property so spend time together as a family. It is ideal come rain or shine. It has fantastic views, plenty of walks and sufficiently spacious to accommodate a family gathering.

Mrs C,

Caemor is in an idyllic position with 'to die for' views. It is a spacious, light and appropriately furnished property with plenty of space for ten people. We hope to be back next year.

Mrs Sonya H,

We’ve stayed in this house for three consecutive years now and will book again for next year as it’s just so lovely. But they house itself is just getting a bit tired and could do with a bit of updating. We found lots of cobwebs and dust and it wasn’t actually very clean. This is just feedback as we love the house

Ms Maria D,

The property was (just like last year) poorly cleaned. In this case there was no back-up, the cleaners didn't come back so as a guest you end up cleaning yourself. A 'back-up' in cases like this should be recomended. Original Cottages was not able to help us the day we arrived and we didn't hear from them for days (too long!) However, in the end we did get a refund so we were pleased with the help we got then from Original Cottages. All in all it's quite an expensive property for what's given

Previous Customer,

Holiday met our expectations thoroughly.

mr Murray P,

We had a lovely family holiday in Caemor. Although the house really is rural and not even a village store in walking distance we loved being remote with beautiful views and beach and coastal paths right on the doorstep. The configuration of rooms is perfect, great to have the open plan dining area next to the kitchen, good for socialising and preparing meals together. Well equipped with plenty of pans, cutlery etc which as a party of 9 was helpful. Also for once in a rental property decent knives (we love to cook together so important for us) A couple of niggles…..plastic chopping boards that can go in the d/washer would be useful and more hygienic and a Nespresso machine (we took our own!) Nearly all the pegs are broken, frustrating when you cant hang beach towels/wet suits on the line. Also the rubbish recycling instructions are frustrating: different types of rubbish are collected fortnightly so the guests before us had left full recycling bags but the guide book says you must take away any left rubbish or there could be a charge. Even when I phoned the helpline it was not clear so our rubbish went in the NT dumpster in the car park……not very environmentally friendly but I was not going to take 4 black sacks of household rubbish all the way home to Sussex. Perhaps providing some kind of bin shed next to the garage would be helpful. Anyhow apart from that all 6 grown ups, 3 children and 3 dogs had a great time.

Karen T,

It was exactly as described and better than expected .Fantastic location and a fabulous home to spend a holiday in . Views outstanding .

Ms Joanne W,

We were surprised to be told to take our refuse away with us…..we have never had that before anywhere!!

Dr Gill L,

Location

The village of Rhossili is on the south western tip of the Gower Peninsula. Located on a ridge, it affords spectacular views over Rhossili Bay and Worms Head, a fascinating outcrop of land comprising two rocky islands joined to the mainland by a narrow causeway accessible only at low tide. The village boasts a pub, cafe, shop and National Trust gift shop.
