Description

Situated in approximately 100 acres of open countryside, Llanelen Farm is the perfect setting for a totally relaxing 'escape from it all' holiday. The landscape, a mix of woodland and gently rolling hills, boasts one of the best places to enjoy the stunning sunsets over the Loughor Estuary. The property itself, which attaches to the owners farmhouse, has been totally refurbished to a very high standard with every modern convenience at hand.

The farm is located just off Welshmoor Common, which is rich in its historical associations, a site of Special Scientific Interest and home to the decorative breed of Jacob sheep.

The closest village is Llanrhidian with its pretty church and 2 pubs: The Welcome to Town and The Dolphin Pub. Llangennith, is home to many surfing competitions, and the Kings Head Pub is where everyone heads after a day on the beach.

Reviews

You need a 4x4 to safely negotiate the long drive. There are 4 big steps up to the entrance and without a rail I had difficulty getting up and down. The furniture was very tired but it did mean we didn’t have to worry about the dogs. The garden was perfect for the dogs and the property was warm. However, we thought we’d take the sheets off but if we’d seen what was underneath the sheets I doubt we would have stayed. The toilet brushes were disgusting still with paper and s…t attached. Lovely views but the mud to open and shut the gate is a problem. We followed a normal saloon down the very long drive and it bottomed several times. Luckily we were in a 4x4!

Mrs Ann A,

Cottage was in a lovely location , very well equipped

Location

While places such as Mumbles, Langland, Oxwich and Port Eynon to the south of Gower are popular destinations, the hidden beauty of Gower can be found in the north of the peninsula.
