Reviews

Perfect location close to the amazing Rhossili beach. The secure enclosed garden was wonderful for our dog and the terrace a great place to sit and enjoy a meal (when the weather allowed!). The coast path is on the doorstep and tide permitting we also enjoyed Mewslade Beach.

Miss B,

The property was clean and very comfortable. Lovely terrace and there was an enclosed garden that was ideal for our dog. Would have liked a shop nearby but we managed with several good eating places in Rhossili. Lovely walks along the cliffs and beaches, and managed to scramble down to some secluded beaches.

mrs Helen H,

We loved our stay at Rhossili Reach, the property is in a great location and has a beautiful garden with sea views. It was also easy to book with Original Cottages and communication was good. Our only complaints are that we found the house to be quite dirty and like it hadn’t been cleaned. It could have also had more kitchen utensils- there weren’t many pans and no oven gloves which proved tricky when using the oven! We also found the mattress in the large double room was very old and uncomfortable- it needs upgrading, a £99 mattress from IKEA would do! Otherwise we loved our stay :-)

Ms Frances H,

We know this property well and have had many happy holidays here; it is fairly basic but in a wonderful location. I was disappointed to find extensive black mould on the walls of the two back bedrooms which I had to clean down. In addition, there was a mass of hair in the bath plug outlet and both bath and basin in the main bathroom were draining slowly. The bins in each room were dirty and had no bags in them. It feels as if more attention needs to be paid to the maintenance and servicing of this house, particularly in terms of damp and attention to detail when cleaning.

Dr Claire B,

We loved the bungalow and it was very comfortable and in a great location. Only one thing that was substandard was the WiFi. It didn't really work and we couldn't use the streaming service on the TV as it just kept buffering. We ended up using hotspot and our mobile data to watch Netflix etc..just thought u should be aware as in winter u really need a good TV service! Thanks Lisa

Mrs Lisa H,

We were really pleased with the property apart from the cleanliness through out which was very disappointing, also the bath didn’t drain away when you had a shower and the other shower leaked from the base (I’ve mentioned this as it may not have been reported and can be addressed)

Mrs Rachel K,

Location

The village of Rhossili is on the south western tip of the Gower Peninsula. Located on a ridge, it affords spectacular views over Rhossili Bay and Worms Head, a fascinating outcrop of land comprising two rocky islands joined to the mainland by a narrow causeway accessible only at low tide. The village boasts a pub, cafe, shop and National Trust gift shop.
