Description

Nicholaston Cottage is a picture perfect, 5-star, pet-friendly holiday home with private gardens and stunning views over the South Gower coastline. Four bedrooms offer spacious accommodation for up to 8 guests whilst a number of reception rooms, a table tennis table, snooker table and an open plan kitchen/diner will bring friends and family together to relax and enjoy in this beautiful part of Gower.

Oxwich Bay, one of Gower's largest sandy beaches, is a pleasant 15-minute walk from the house and is dog-friendly all year round. At the western end of Oxwich Bay is Three Cliffs Bay, an iconic outcrop of three limestone cliffs standing proud over the sands below it. There are some fantastic options for dining out, with a choice of restaurants just 5 minutes' drive into Oxwich, nearby in Reynoldston or in the opposite direction to Parkmill or the village of Southgate. The location of the home gives you many walking options throughout the year; the Gower Way passes close to the house offering beautiful panoramic views towards Devon in the south and the Black Mountains in the north.

Three Cliffs Bay and Oxwich Bay offer a plethora of walks for every ability with gentle walks along the beach or for the more adventurous why not explore the giant sand dunes either side of Three Cliffs valley (most children's favourite!).

Perriswood Archery and Falconry Centre can be found just down the road and there is also a local convenience store with selected products close by.

Reviews

This was a wonderful holiday. Nicholaston Cottage is spacious, airy and has amazing views. All bedrooms face the sea, and the view from the dining room and upper patio are stunning. We had a party of 6 adults, and it was lovely to have alunge to congregate in comfortably in the evening, but with ample space to spread out at different times of the day. The kitchen was well-equipped and a pleasure to cook in. The bathrooms are all high-spec and allow a touch of luxury to the stay. The garden is also lovely and even in February, we had some time int he sunshine on the patio. We also appreciated the table tennis table and the snooker. We loved it and are already planning our next visit - a wonderful place for us to spend time with our family.

Mrs M,

The house if top notch. Its 5 star accommodate that is also dog friendly and has brilliant views over Oxwich Bay and its also great for dog walks straight from the door. Our 3rd stay and its pretty unbeatable.

Mrs S,

Lovely property with stunning views and excellent walks on your doorstep. Great entertainment options for the children. A beautiful spot on the stunning Gower Peninsula. Would highly recommend.

Mrs B,

Needs more comfortable garden furniture

Mrs Susannah H,

In the main we were very pleased with our holiday property. The standard of accommodation was excellent and the location was both stunning and convenient. However, the start of our holiday was marred by a mix up with the property keys. The keys were not left in the keysafe as they should have been and it took nearly 2 hours and several phone calls before someone came and let us in. We were not given a proper apology for the mix-up with a series of excuses being presented to us instead. It was an unfortunate start to our stay which could have been handled a lot better by the staff that we dealt with.

Mrs Suzanne S,

Lovely property, well equipped and very comfortable. Gorgeous views.

Mrs Tracey D,

The cottage was perfect in every way.

Mr Andrew S,

Wasn’t very clean I had to clean kitchen on arrival as breadcrumbs under and around toaster, dirty fingerprints on cupboards, drips of food on cupboard doors, dust and dog hair in the corners. On previous visits it has been spotless so a little disappointed with that. Everything else was perfect though

Ms Jane E,

Location

Oxwich is one of South Gower's most picturesque villages typified by thatched roofed cottages and with a castle and interesting Saxon church located just a stones throw from the sea. It is nestled in the curve of Oxwich Bay- a beautiful, wide expanse of sandy beach stretching all the way to Three Cliffs Bay.
