Reviews

Sssssshhhhh. This is a very secret jewel in the Gower. I have returned to Redcliffe for many years. Brought babies and grandchildren to experience pure joy on the safest and cleanest beach and sea. It has not changed. The apartments are perfectly sited.

Mrs P,

What a lovely location, great for beach life, coastal walks and live entertainment from surfers! Amazing holiday.

Mrs A,

Views and location were outstanding, unfortunately the apartment felt very dated and was in need of some TLC. The bathroom needs replacing. The freezer compartment was so iced up we struggled to use it for ice cubes. It would be nice to sit on balcony enjoying a glass of wine if only there was more than 1 wine glass.

Mr Paul A,

The property was quite scruffy. There was no welcome pack not even to tell you the fire drill incase of a fire. The internet was poor and we couldn’t get onto the Wi-Fi as we didn’t know who to contact. The location is great but we wouldn’t stay there again

Mrs Julie F,

1.Cold water tap in kitchen suffered from water hammer. 2.Shower tray water drain had restricted outlet. 3.Dining table leg loose and table could possibly overturn. Glass coffee table had all screw connections loose and table wobbled. I found Allen key in draw and tightened up. 4.Upon arrival, and not immediately noticed by us, sand particles were on wood flooring, and on going to bed, this sand was transferred from our bare feed to bed. It was necessary for us to sweep floors in morning. 5.Dirt was apparent on top of skirting boards in some places. 6.very small toilet/shower room was further restricted by it being used to store mop/bucket/broom and dustpan & brush. 7.Matress of bed well overdue for change as springs were very noticeable. 8.The largest of the two setees (a put-u-up) had no support to keep seating from sinking. General: The view and ability to sit out on balcony is our main enjoyment and sole reason for not taking the above deficiencies up with the Mumbles office. We have been renting Radcliffe apartments for around 10-years now (304, 312, 301 (excellent), 919 (disgusting, and returned home after 2-nights) and now 206, and these current problems have made us decide not to come again to Radcliffe as it would appear that the standard of inspections are somewhat lacking.

Brian B,

The property was reasonably clean. But in places a little dirty. A shame we didn't have a local shop and pub. But that can't be helped. On the plus side the view is amazing and it was great watching the surfers. Lovely listening to the waves and watching the world go by. If you want a short break to chill then this is the place. It just needs a little TLC. The beach is nice and clean too.

Mrs Catherine D,

The location is stunning. The apartment is well stocked and comfortable. The walk up from the car park is quite steep so I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with walking difficulties

Mrs Beryl B,

Clean, nice bed, view.

Mr Phillip R,

Location

The sandy beach at Caswell is popular all year with locals and visitors alike and lies within a half mile long bay, nestled behind the Mumbles Headland). There is easy access to the beach for people with limited mobility and good facilities for families with young children make this one of the Gower's most visited beaches. Popular activities include swimming and sea kayaking as well as surfing when conditions allow. The beach side shop is well stocked with all the essentials for building sandcastles and refreshments are available at cafes alongside the beach. Away from the beach, more shops and services are available in the nearby village of Bishopston and in the Mumbles. The beach is close to Bishop's Wood Local Nature reserve, designated trails within the Nature Reserve link with the coast path in this area. The coast path east towards Langland offers fine views across the Bristol channel to north Devon.
