An elegant three storey townhouse in the heart of Mumbles offering flexible accommodation for 9 people in 5 bedrooms. Option of short breaks of 3-4 nights (October to April) and to rent the lower two floors only for 3 bed accommodation that sleeps 5 at a reduced rate.

The Town House boasts lovely views of Underhill Park, private parking and a terraced garden for alfresco dining. There are period features throughout including fireplaces in most rooms and even the Victorian range is still intact (although not working).
Stylishly decorated with a coastal theme, this unique holiday home is homely, dog friendly and in the perfect location for making the most of all that the village of Mumbles has to offer.

The sandy beaches of Langland and Rotherslade are only a 7 minute walk away as are the shops, cafes and galleries of 'top Mumbles'. Oystermouth Castle, the promenade and Mumbles fabulous new Oyster Wharf development are also within strolling distance.

Enter through a small porch into hallway with storage cupboard and under stairs cloakroom area. A cosy lounge and large kitchen diner lead from the hall.

The lounge has a three seater sofa and two 2 seater sofas plus side tables and large pouffe. There is a smart TV on a cabinet, and set within the original fireplace there's a wood burning stove for cosy nights in.

This room leads through to the dining end of the kitchen diner where there is a solid dining room table and seating for 9 plus storage cupboards filled with toys and games.

The large kitchen spans the width of the house and incorporates a breakfast bar. There is an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, fridge/freezer and plenty of storage in white traditional cupboards. The original Victorian range serves as a quirky period design feature.

A slight step up to a utility room with washing machine and a downstairs WC with wash hand basin immediately outside in the utility area. A back door leads outside to a handy under cover storage area, perfect for bikes and beach paraphernalia, with steps then leading up to a decked and terraced garden.

From the hallway, an elegant staircase takes visitors to the middle floor where there are three bedrooms, the family bathroom with WC and a separate WC with wash hand basin as well. The master bedroom is double aspect and boasts views over Underhill Park. There is a king size bed, dressing table, bedside tables, under bed drawers and a wardrobe plus a TV.

Alongside is a twin room with twin beds, bedside table, a large chest of drawers, underbed drawers and hanging rail.

The single room has a cosy day bed with bedside table, under bed drawers, chest of drawers and dressing table. A single glazed door leads out to the decked part of the garden.

The bathroom is brand new, has a bath, WC, wash hand basin and separate shower cubicle plus heated towel rail.

On the top and third floor are two further bedrooms, one double and a twin. The double sits at the front of the property so has lovely views of the park and there is a walk in wardrobe plus a large shower cubicle quirkily hidden inside the other end of the wardrobe.

The cute and cosy twin bedroom has sea views, two single beds, two chests of drawers and a bedside cabinet. There is a wardrobe with drawers on the landing directly outside for storage.

External: Private parking for two small cars or one medium or large car to the front. The back garden can be accessed from the ground floor into an outside courtyard area with under cover storage for bikes etc. Steep stone steps with handrail then lead up to a decked area (also accessible from the middle floor single bedroom) and landscaped terraced garden with interesting rope patio feature and tropical planting. There is outside dining and lounge furniture and the whole garden gets the sun for most of the day.

About Mumbles

Mumbles is the first pretty fishing village one meets when venturing away from Swansea towards the world acclaimed area of outstanding beauty known as the Gower. It is a great place to set up your base either to explore the myriad activities in, around and along the coastline or to settle and just luxuriate in the local resources that make Mumbles a great destination in its own right.


The house was newly refurbished, clean, spacious, and yet warm and cozy. We enjoyed the historic elements of the home, tasteful decor, and the wood burning stove in the lounge. The kitchen had everything required to do our own cooking. We also appreciated having a washing machine to do our own laundry. Bron and Ges, owners of the home, are lovely. Mrs L, USA, Dec 2016
