Description and Location
A truly outstanding, 5 Star holiday home with hot tub, set in the heart of Gower in tranquil, rural surroundings offering spacious accommodation for 6 to 10 people (6 in bedrooms, 4 on sofa beds) that can only be described as luxurious. There is the added bonus of a luxury 'Glamping pod' in the grounds which also has a double bed.
This property can be booked for 1, 2 or 3 nights.
Part of and set a short distance from the award-winning wedding venue Oldwalls, this newly built stone cottage boasts spectacular countryside views and is set in its own grounds close to the village of Llanrhidian.
Single storey so extremely practical with underfloor heating throughout, it has 3 en suite bedrooms and 2 sofa beds in the main living area, a fourth luxury bathroom plus outdoor hot tub and private terrace.
High eaves with rustic timber beams give a sense of space and add character whilst touches like a Sonos music system and Sky TV and the option of a personal chef, hostess, chauffeur and concierge all add to the experience of high-end living.
Mulberry House is beautifully styled with sumptuous soft furnishings and decor. It is the ultimate holiday haven, somewhere for a family or group of friends to enjoy a taste of luxury and the feeling that they really are away from it all.
The location is ideal for exploring the beaches of both south and north Gower with surfing on offer at nearby Llangennith where there are two surf schools and some great village facilities.
Cefn Bryn, the second highest point on the peninsular, is also within easy reach as are two great pubs, The Greyhound Inn and the Welcome to Town. Both serve good food with The Greyhound also brewing its own ale on site at The Gower Brewery.
Enter through iron gates into private drive with landscaped garden and plenty of parking. A wooden pergola marks the entrance to the cottage with solid oak doors throughout.
The most striking and central aspect of Mulberry House is the kitchen lounge diner which has real wow factor. It is light and bright with loads of windows and glazed doors and, built around an exposed oak frame and with high ceilings and a solid stone floor, it resembles a converted medieval chapel.
There is a country farmhouse kitchen at one end featuring granite work tops with handmade solid wooden cupboards and a large central island with breakfast bar. The kitchen is high spec and extremely well equipped with an electric range cooker as well as an electric oven, a dishwasher, fridge with icebox and combination microwave.
In the middle of the room there is a solid dining table and 8 chairs with two extra chairs close by. The lounge area has three plush velvet sofas arranged around a wall mounted TV with DVD player. The sofas are large and inviting and there are vintage-trunk style coffee tables and some lovely quirky design features. Two of the sofas can be converted into double beds.
All 3 en suite bedrooms can be accessed from the kitchen end of the main room as can the family bathroom. There is one double bedroom and two twins.
The master bedroom has a double bed, sumptuously decorated and styled with velvet soft furnishings and with double doors that offer a fabulous Gower vista. There's a wardrobe, glamorous Venetian glass-style dressing table and a bedside table. The en suite bathroom is fully tiled with double-ended bath, separate shower cubicle, WC and hand basin.
Both twin rooms have twin single beds, plush bedding and soft furnishings, Venetian glass-style mirrors and dressing tables. The en suite bathrooms are both high-spec, fully tiled with wash hand basin, WC and separate shower cubicle.
The family bathroom is of the same high standard as the en suites but is a practical wet room with wash hand basin and disabled WC and grab rail.
External: Mulberry House sits in the middle of stunning private grounds with acres of mowed fields and a small lake complete with wooden bridge that takes you to a tiny island. The views are breath taking and there is a large terrace with both outdoor dining and lounge furniture. For the ultimate indulgence, the large hot tub is sheltered beneath its own thatched canopy.
