Description

This lower ground floor, three-bedroom apartment is the ideal base for a city break, whether for sporting events, shopping weekends, or a catch up with friends and family. It is located directly opposite the Principality Stadium. Set in a private residential block with a handful of other flats, Cardiff’s original farmers’ market is held in front of the property every Sunday, showcasing some of the best food producers in Wales. There’s a lot to do in the city, from exploring Cardiff Castle (0.6 miles) and the National Museum (1 mile) to wandering around Bute Park (0.6 miles) and of course shopping. Cardiff Bay (2.5 miles) is a former dockland that’s now a vibrant waterfront with shops, restaurants and attractions, and an international sports village on the freshwater lake offering Olympic-size swimming pools, white-water rafting and an ice-skating arena. There’s an artificial beach here every summer, with other beaches at Penarth (4 miles) and Barry Island (9.5 miles).

Laid out over a single level, this contemporary apartment is thoughtfully designed and finished to a high standard throughout. Enter straight into the main living space, an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This spacious room has a large corner sofa and sofa bed, a dining table, and a smart fitted kitchen. A door leads from the kitchen to the twin bedroom, while a second corridor leads from the lounge area to a family bathroom and two more bedrooms: a double and single with en-suite shower room.

The property has a small section of a shared patio to the rear, while the front of the property faces directly onto the riverside and the stadium. This is one of two Hafan y Ddinas apartments. For larger parties, the owner has a second apartment that can be booked alongside.

Reviews

It's nice place to stay.

Mr S,

Location

Located on Fitzhamon Embankment, directly opposite the Principality Stadium and right in the city centre. This is a lower ground floor apartment in a private residential block of only 4 apartments.  The ideal city centre location with cafes, bars, shops and restaurants all around.  Each Sunday there is a food market on the street in front of the property with stalls selling local produce and food from all over the world.

The Principality Stadium,  which is just across the river, has staged the Champions League final, Rugby World Cup finals and Olympic events.  This stadium is unique in that it is in the heart of the city, which ensures that match or event day atmosphere is something special.

Cardiff Bay is home to the Olympic pool and fun pools, White Water Centre and many more restaurants and bars. The Bay is a freshwater lake that is kept from the sea via the Cardiff Bay Barrage. The Bay is also a haven for sailing, jet-skiing, boating and more. You can catch a water taxi from the Bay along the river to the Stadium.
