No doubt you’ve heard of the Hay Festival which takes place during the last week of May and early June each year in Hay-on-Wye, Wales’ ‘town of books’ situated in a beautiful valley between Brecon and Hereford. The Hay Festival is a global brand and one of the world’s largest get-togethers of international writers, children’s authors and illustrators, in a marquee village where, for 11 days you can, ‘imagine the world’. All this, plus an international food hall, workshops and a fantastic bookshop. And you don’t have to wait until 21st -31st May 2020 as you might not know there’s a Winter Festival too which takes place over the weekend of 28th November – 1st December 2019, in the town centre, made magical with Christmas lights and Christmas markets. www.hayfestival.com
