Where to stroll, roll and cast
Walk this way
The Gower is a walkers paradise. There are around 400 miles of rights of way and a variety of walking routes through lush countryside, rolling hills, impressive coastline and pretty woodland. Its the perfect environment to put on your boots and blow away the cobwebs whether hiking along the coast or inland.
Visit www.ramblers.org.uk or www.glamorganwalks.com for route information including the Gower Way, a challenging 35 mile trek across the Peninsula that takes in "glorious" Rhossili, one of the Telegraph's 'Top 10 British Walks' and The Times' '20 Greatest Rural British Walks'.

Go fish
Gower serves up some beautiful places to fish from with bass, flounder, mackerel, mullet and eel likely catches. Fish off Mumbles Pier or around the lighthouse and its islands but look out for strong tides. Cast off the beach or rocks at Oxwich Bay or Burry Holmes or take up the challenge of fishing off Worms Head into deep water. Alternatively cast off along the Loughor Estuary, a tricky location that plays host to many a competition. For more details visit www.gower-fishing.co.uk.
