The promenade stretches for five miles as far as Mumbles Head - a good hour’s walk, or a twenty minute bike ride away. Wander around fine examples of railway carriages from the world’s first passenger railway, or test drive some of the innovative ‘hands on’ learning zone exhibits.

Alternatively pay a visit to Clyne Gardens - a ‘must’ in May to see the Rhododendrons in bloom, or visit one of the other three Swansea Parks to hold the prestigious Civic Trust ‘Green Flag Award’.
Peruse the stalls of Swansea Market - the largest traditional indoor market in Wales and sample a traditional Welsh breakfast with cockles and laverbread. Stroll along Wind Street with its many bars and restaurants - a thriving café society during the day and a buzzing party scene after dark.
